I haven’t done this in a while, so I thought I’ll give you some free downloads for the week. You know, just so you can think about me, *wink*.
This time, since I’m feeling particularly feminist (not that I don’t always feel that way), I’m sharing with you illustrated bookmarks inspired by female writers. I sketched this for International Women’s Day. Back when I was working in the University Library and people, not only girls, seemed to like them.
Obviously I had to include J.K. Rowling, because… Hello? Geek!. Also, Jane Austen made it to the bunch being her ahead-of-her-time-awesome-self. Finally, I ended up with Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, to give it a darker twist. Also, so the collection wouldn’t be that typically feminine.
I mixed some styles. Rowling and Shelley are more sketchy-type, while Austen is cleaner, mostly in vectors, but with her classic vintage vibe.
You can download the template here.Just print it on a nice A4 sized paper.
I really hope you like this lot, since the inspiration source was amazing. If you have any particular requests, I may be feeling generous and illustrate it. Just make sure to leave it in the comments.
I guess I’ll see you on the road.
Love,
